Fresh figures released by China’s statistics agency show that the country’s annual economic growth quickened to 7.9% in the fourth quarter. This lives China’s whole year GDP growth rate to 7.8%. But that is still down from 9.2% in 2011 and 10.4% in 2010. However many are quite optimistic that China will face a new era with economic growth in 2013 when the US and the European countries are still struggling with the financial crisis. Will China enjoy a pace of expansion faster this year than in the year 2012? Can China afford a GDP growth below 8%? What’s the road map of China’s economic restructuring?
